Ocean City, MD is full of awesome places for seafood and happy hour along with waterfront restaurants galore. Sometimes it can be tough to find the best places for breakfast in Ocean City, MD, however, so we’ve got you covered! Based on our years of visiting the area, we put together this list of our tried and true breakfast restaurants in OCMD, along with some additional options to check out on your next trip.

The Bayside Skillet
For the absolute best breakfast in Ocean City, MD, Bayside Skillet needs to be on your list. Bayside is known for its crepes piled high with fresh fruit, yummy seafood omelets and potato dishes to share. (Even if you don’t order a crepe as your main entree, you’ll get a small crepe with your meal!) The highlight of Bayside Skillet is the fresh squeezed orange juice made to order. They make for yummy mimosas and orange crushes too!
Bayside Skillet is decorated head to toe in pink for a cute ambiance as well. There’s ample indoor and outdoor seating, but be sure to get there early on the weekends since there’s almost always a wait.

Barn 34
Barn 34 is another one of our favorite breakfast restaurants in Ocean City, MD. The restaurant is located in a renovated barn with cute decor downstairs and upstairs. They have an extensive breakfast menu, with several unique eggs benedict options. Another must-try item at Barn 34 is the Captain Crunch French Toast. Barn 34 also has great breakfast drinks like Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas. You can also eat lunch or dinner there, and they have a kids menu for every meal of the day.

Bad Monkey
If you’re looking for a huge breakfast menu that has great breakfast cocktails AND a kids menu, be sure to check out Bad Monkey. The crepes and omelets are some of the best items for breakfast at Bad Monkey. Be sure to order their signature monkey bread as well! Bad Monkey is not only one of the best breakfast places in Ocean City, MD, but it also has a great 2-for-1 happy hour with lunch and dinner as well.
There are two locations, Bad Monkey West Ocean City and Bad Monkey on 58th St.


Malia’s Cafe
For breakfast on the OCMD Boardwalk, Malia’s Cafe in Ocean City, MD is right off the boardwalk on 18th Street. The restaurant has a cute beachy theme, with bright colors and sea animals all over. The breakfast menu at Malia’s Cafe is huge, with several options for pancakes, waffles, eggs and more. We recently tried the vegetable hash, pancakes with berries and coconut, and a fruit parfait with yogurt and homemade granola. The pancakes are some of the fluffiest we’ve bad, and I love that they have some fresh, healthy options for breakfast. (I also feel like it’s more affordable than some other OCMD breakfast spots!)

The Original Fractured Prune
For the best donuts in Ocean City, MD, Fractured Prune needs to be on your list! The donuts are made fresh, and you can pick out your toppings to order. They also have a huge menu, with dozens of different flavors and toppings. If you’re not sure what to order, you can pick one of several flavor combinations they put together for you.
While Fractured Prune now has dozens of locations, the Original Fractured Prune donut shop opened in Ocean City in 1976. There’s a Fractured Prune donut shop in West Ocean City and several throughout Ocean City.
If you’re looking for donuts on the Ocean City, MD boardwalk, be sure to also check out Quickies Mini Donuts. They serve mini donuts covered in cinnamon and sugar that are freshly made to order. There’s also a cute little play section for kids with a small slide while you wait.

Surfside Rooster
If you’re willing to venture over the 50th street bridge, Surfside Rooster is a hidden gem. And it’s definitely our favorite place for breakfast in West Ocean City, MD. The inside of Surfside Rooster is southern themed, and the menu is southern inspired. The menu is huge with a number of rotating specials as well as a kid’s menu. If you’re getting breakfast at Surfside Rooster, you can’t miss the stuffed French toast, chicken and waffles and homemade biscuits.
